Team Roles & Responsibilities
Each Grow Business Network team relies on members working together to create organized, welcoming, and productive weekly meetings. The following five roles help ensure meetings run smoothly and every member and guest has a positive experience.
1. Team Leader
Oversees weekly meetings, ensures the team follows the established Weekly Meeting Structure, and keeps meetings running on schedule. Responsible for ensuring the meeting location is unlocked and ready before each meeting and properly cleaned, secured, and locked afterward.
2. Speaker Coordinator
Maintains the weekly speaker schedule, confirms upcoming presentations, and reminds speakers of their assigned dates and 10–15-minute presentation time. Ensures speakers have everything they need for a successful presentation, including any necessary equipment or setup.
3. Topic Coordinator
Ensures the monthly discussion topic and supporting materials are printed and available for team members. Assigns a member each month to facilitate the topic discussion during weekly meetings.
4. Social Media Coordinator
Takes photos during meetings, especially of featured speakers, and either posts a thank-you message or sends photos to Grow management for sharing on the official Grow Business Network page. All social media posts should tag Grow Business Network to increase visibility and engagement.
5. Greeters (1–2 Members)
Welcomes guests as they arrive, helps them feel comfortable, and collects their business cards and contact information. Shares guest information with Grow management so the organization can follow up and invite guests to become members.
Our Goal: Every team member plays a part in building a professional, welcoming, and successful Grow Business Network team. Working together helps us build relationships, generate referrals, and grow our businesses.
GROW Business Network Attendance & Membership Policy
Consistent attendance is an important part of building strong relationships, generating referrals, and creating a successful GROW Business Network team. Members rely on one another to show up, participate, and build meaningful business connections.
Attendance Requirement
All GROW Business Network members are required to maintain a minimum of 75% attendance each quarter.
In simple terms, this means members may generally miss one team meeting per month while remaining within the attendance requirement.
Using a Substitute
If you are unable to attend a team meeting, we strongly encourage you to send a substitute to represent your company.
Your substitute can be an employee, business associate, friend, family member, or another person who can attend on behalf of your business. Having a substitute helps keep your business represented and connected with your team even when you cannot personally attend.
Extended Absences
We understand that life happens. Vacations, illness, family situations, work commitments, travel, and other circumstances may require you to miss multiple meetings.
If you know you will be absent for an extended period, simply communicate with your Team Leader in writing by email or text. Let them know what is happening and approximately how long you expect to be away.
We are happy to provide reasonable grace and work with members who communicate with us.
Failure to Communicate
If a member misses multiple consecutive meetings, falls below the attendance requirement, and does not communicate with their Team Leader, their exclusive industry seat may be opened.
The member will receive written notification that they have not met the attendance requirements and that their industry seat on the team is now available to be filled by another business.
Opening the seat does not automatically cancel the member's GROW Business Network membership. It means the team is no longer required to hold that exclusive industry position for the absent member.
Membership Cancellation & Recurring Payments
If you choose to cancel your GROW Business Network membership, you must submit your cancellation request in writing.
Written cancellation is required so that we can properly process your request and stop future recurring credit card charges. Simply discontinuing attendance at team meetings does not constitute cancellation of your membership and does not automatically stop recurring payments.
Cancellation requests must be emailed to: jd@grow-business-network.com
No Refund Policy
All payments made to the Grow Business Network are non-refundable. We maintain a no-refund policy for any reason, including membership fees, enrollment fees, monthly or annual payments, event fees, and other payments made to the Grow Business Network.
Members are responsible for submitting membership cancellation requests in writing to prevent future recurring charges. Cancellation stops future billing but does not result in a refund of payments already processed.
Our Policy Is Simple
Communicate with us, and we will do our best to work with you.
Our goal is not to penalize members when life happens. Our goal is to maintain active, dependable teams where members can confidently build relationships, exchange referrals, and grow their businesses.
75% attendance. Send a substitute when possible. Communicate when you need to be away. Submit cancellations in writing.
When we communicate and show up for one another, everybody GROWs.
